And rounding off today’s blogspaff, here’s an air observer from Warlord Games. From battle reports he seems somewhat unreliable (the 1 in 6 chance of a disaster seems to come up 9 times out of 10) but airstrikes look too hilarious to ignore.
I’m a couple of Bren Carriers away from completing phase one of my Bolt Action late war Brits. More soon.
This is the final batch of WW2 Brit infantry for a while and I’ll welcome the change from painting things brown.
As before, they’re from Warlord Games. The Forward Observer and his mate are metal, the rest (including the PIAT team) are from their splendid plastic kit.
Artillery Forward Observer and his mate.
Some more infantry: NCO, Bren gunner + loader, SMG guy and extra NCO (for the next rifle section).
As I’m closing in on a force I can take down a club, I thought it’d be a good time to take a team photo. The sequence has been “paint batch, photograph batch, put batch in case with the others” so I’d never actually seen them all at once. It’s worth doing from time to time to combat the burnout.
So here’s the team photo …
Getting close to the point where I’m actually ready to start playing this game!
More terrain! My first ruined farmhouse from Warlord Games (still in need of a matt varnish). I made a bit of a meal of painting it but it’s a great kit. I’ve a couple more to do … which is a good thing!
More for the WW2 Brits. A Cromwell Tank from Warlord Games.
